ABSTRACT

This study was carried out to examine the effect of communication on employee perception of change in an organization using sterling bank in  Lagos State. Specifically, the study examined examine how communication is used in managing organizational changes. The study  also,  find out the forms of communications been used in managing changes in an organization. The study further, find out how communication use in reducing change resistance. Lastly , the study investigate the effect of communication on workers productivity during organizational change. The study employed the survey descriptive research design. A total of 30 responses were validated from the survey. From the responses obtained and analyzed, the findings revealed that Effective communication is pivotal in increasing productivity because it directly influences the behavior of the staff and the way they perform. The study also revealed, It will improve understanding and, in the result, will elevate productivity and efficiency. Furthermore , Communication will strengthen your organization both internally and externally. Lastly , Communication not only eases the process, but also generates a synergy that promotes a better understanding of what you and your team are working to achieve. The study hereby  recommend that  there is a need to appreciate what an  organization is in terms of its characteristics as an open system. Also, that organization should prioritize and work on their communication in other for employee to understand the kind of changes that will take place in the
